About Us

Practice Profile

Environmental issues are many fold, and at mga we do not suggest we have to have all the answers. However, we do adopt a considered, logical, and integrated approach. This enables us to both learn from our actions, as well as advise on an increasing range of interrelated matters, all of which have a profound effect on our environment.

At mga the process starts with the prosaic nature of the design process - the critical stage which has a lasting effect on the project or facility. We seek to establish credible and sustainable design, before even attempting to consider construction, use, and importantly, recyclability. We can advise clients directly, or work within established design teams. Below are some of the areas on which we advise, but as you can imagine, this is just a small snapshot of a much larger picture.

Key Points Of Focus

  • Sustainability.
  • Energy Performance Modelling.
  • Land & Water usage, Recycling.
  • Daylight, Sunlight & Overshadowing Analysis.
  • Solar shading, building orientation, light pollution.
  • Low Energy Systems.

mga are fully committed to addressing both the wider environmental issues, as well as the ones closer to our sphere of practice. To this end, we have now attained Chartered Environmentalists' status, which is a professional qualification from the Society for the Environment (SocEnv). This was awarded in recognition of our commitment to environmental issues and by demonstrating our approach and level of knowledge.
